PR Queries

You can query for a specific lease or a specific operator. The results of the PR Query is only for reports filed after February 11, 2005 and only includes those reports that have been accepted by the RRC mainframe system.

Production by Lease Search

  1. Select whether the lease is oil, gas or pending. A Pending lease type indicates that a lease number has not yet by assigned by the RRC. You can select only one option.
  2. Enter the RRC identifier.
  3. Click the drop-down button ( ) to expand the list of districts. As you move your mouse down the list, one district at a time is highlighted. Click one district to select it.
  4. The production month is defined as both the month and year. The current cycle will automatically be selected. To query a previous month, click the drop-down button to expand the list of months. As you move your mouse down the list one month at a time is highlighted. Click a month to select it. To query a previous year, click the year drop-down button and select the year.
  5. Click the Lease Query button.

Lease Search Errors

  • If the lease does not exist in the district you chose, you will get a message that you have an invalid district/lease combination. Check to make sure the lease is in the district you specified.
  • If you indicate that the lease type is oil, the RRC identifier you enter must be five digits. If you specify the lease type as oil and enter six digits, you will get a message that you have an invalid number format for an oil lease type. Likewise, if you specify the lease type as gas, the RRC Identifier must be six digits or you will get a similar message.
  • If you indicate that the lease type is pending, the RRC Identifier must be six digits if it is a Drilling Permit number or eight digits if it is an API number.
  • If you get a No Matching Results message, it means the RRC Identifier number is valid, but there are no records for that lease type, lease number, district, and date specified.

 

Production by Operator Search

  1. Select whether you want to see results for this operator only for oil, only for gas, for both oil and gas, or only for pending. Pending means thatYou can select only one option.
  2. Enter the Operator Number.
  3. Click the drop-down button ( ) to expand the list of districts. As you move your mouse down the list, one district at a time is highlighted. Click one district or Statewide.
  4. The production month is defined as both the month and year. The current cycle will automatically be selected. To query a previous month, click the drop-down button to expand the list of months. As you move your mouse down the list one month at a time is highlighted. Click a month to select it. To query a previous year, click the year drop-down button and select the year.
  5. Click the Operator Query button.

Operator Search Errors

  • If the operator number is not six digits, you will get a message that you have an invalid format.
  • If you get an Invalid Operator Number message, it means there is no current P5 record in our files for that operator.
  • If you get a No Matching Results message, it means the operator number is valid, but there are no reports filed for that operator for the lease type, district, and date specified.
