How To About Common Questions
  • Can I get data about a specific lease using the General Query?
  • How can I find out the district my lease is in?
  • How can I find an operator address?
  • If I know my field or operator name or number, why do I have to search for it to make it display on the query criteria screen?

Can I get specific lease data using the General Query?

You can get to the same data, but you may have to search through more results pages. The General Query is for those who are looking for statewide or area (county, district, field) production information, or information about a field, lease, or operator for which you do not have any identifying data.

The Specific Lease Query is for those who know their lease number as well as the district the lease is in and want to see only production or disposition data for that particular lease.

If I know my field or operator name or number, why do I have to search for it to make it display on the query criteria screen?

You do not.

  1. On the General Query Criteria screen, select Operator as the initial view.
  2. Select the date range and geographic region, then submit the query.
  3. On the Results page, click the Field or Operator tab to see specific data. Be aware that, depending on the geographic region and date range you specified, you may have to search through numerous pages of data.
